We bought a new couch!!
So me and jax went to Costco the other day, and halfway through our trip we sat down for a minute to rest on this comfy sofa:

Turns out we fell deeply in love with it and we had to come home and tell daddy we found the couch mommy wanted! And even better it was totally within our budget! It is so lovely!
And here it is in our living room:

Yay!! Finally nice new furniture:)

Mud pies with mom
So a few days ago me and Jackson got bored. Our ac was broke, so we were super hot! We decided to go outside and play in the water, and it ended with us getting dirty and making mud pies!! What a fun way to spend the afternoon with your very curious 2 1/2 yo.

Nothing feels cooler than soft mud between your toes!

Homemade puffy paint
Me and Jax were bored inside today and decided to do some art!! I found on the Internet how to make your own puffy paint and it came out great! Here's how you do it:
We started with one cup of flour and mixed in 3 teaspoons of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of salt and enough water to make it the consistency of pancake batter.
We divided our mix into four parts and put them into Ziploc bags along with some food coloring. Then, have the kids help squishing it all around to mix up.
Next, take a twist tie and tie up the bags like you were getting ready to frost something. Then snip of the corner of the bag and have them squeeze out the paint into their masterpiece.
When they are all done take the paper, put it in the microwave for 30-45 seconds and voila! Puffy paint magic

Enjoy!!

Let's talk weight loss
So you may have read that I've been on a lifestyle change to get healthy and fit. Since November I've lost 45lbs. Amazing right?! I think so. And even though I've pretty much met my original goal, I'm not stopping, and now I've kicked it up a but more by starting p90x. I've got Danny's family reunion in a few weeks, and I really want to do something awesome for myself. I never thought I would be doing p90x. I mean come on! Push-ups, pull-ups, and lifting weights---yup you heard it right and even though it's super hard, and I'm already sore after 3 days, I'm determined to see it though! There's no stopping me. I will be a changed woman in 90 days!
I had to take before pictures so I could have something to compare the ones in 90 days to...but I'm just not ready for anyone but me to see them yet, so you'll just have to wait. I read this quote on Pinterest that pretty much sums up exactly how I feel:

One day! This will happen..until then I'm too embarrassed to share. Anyway, don't think anyone reads this anyway, but comment if you want:)
