I've been working on these for a week or so and they are finally finished!!

Updates on life
So it's cold here now. Cold enough that when Jackson decides he wants to go outside, even though he is bundled up, he's out there for 3 min and then comes running in saying "Cold! Freezing mommy!" And so that's the sum total of the time we've spent outdoors the past few weeks.
I am working on some pretty sweet fall decorations that I will post when they are all painted and pretty. There's a new craft store my friend opened called crafty wood cutouts, and its exactly what it sounds like. And I love crafts, so I'm totally loving it!
The following pictures are from the one day last week that we bundled up and went to the park. He loves the monkey bars:

Starting to feel better, and feeling more comfy
So it's official. I've lost over 10 pounds since 4 weeks ago. 11.8 lbs to be exact. It really doesn't seem like much, but in the whole scheme of things, I'm pretty proud of Danny and myself. Danny has lost a little bit more than me, but we're both starting to feel happier about our desicions in food. The better desicions we make they more results we see. I've actually come around to not mind magic soup so much, in fact one night there was only enough left in the fridge for one bowl and I begged Danny to let me have some. The veggies are good, some better than others, but all in all I eat them and enjoy it. I'm kinda burnt out on salads at the moment, but i've found other yummy things to take its place. I've found some very healthy yummy recipes, especially a few with ground turkey, which I love now and think its the most delicious thing that ever fell on my plate. All in all this past week has been good. I got an early Christmas present from Danny-the Zumba exhilaration DVDs, and they are fun and hard and tiring, but they burn mega calories and make me feel good again. I'm feeling happier when I see my reflection..can't say that I notice a difference in how my clothes fit or anything in particular, but I'm just feeling much better about myself, and that's saying a lot. Anyway onto fun stuff:
Here's Jackson lying flat our our shelves. He is not even 2 and already planking. Lol! J/k he's just a crazy bean with lots of exploring to do every day. Along with all the exploring, goes a nasty black eye that he gave himself after falling off the back of our couch onto the air conditioner. Poor thing. He's ok, just has a banged up face. I'll try to get a pic tomorrow so I can show it.
We broke out some glow sticks--since it was Halloween--threw them in the tub and let Jackson take a glow bath!!! It was by far the most fun he's ever had in a bath!! Try it at home--it's super fun!!
We went to a few Halloween parties and we dressed up as a family! Everyone loved our costumes. I thought we looked way cute. Next is a close up of Jax in his sweet alien hat:)
Well it's late and that's all for me. Since its all hallows eve, you better be safe! Trick or treating tomorrow!! Can't wait:D

happy halloween to us! not
the title to this post was meant to sarcastic, could ya tell??
Me and the hubby have started a new lifestyle change. and by that I mean a diet. I didn't think that cutting out sugar, carbs, starchy veggies and all processed foods would be difficult...but its really kicking my butt. don't get me wrong, I am doing really well (at least i think i am), its just hard. I mostly miss wheat thins, chocolate, and pasta. Danny and I have been sticking to it and being really good.
While we are talking about being good, I will discuss a few things that I have prolly never shared. I have never been overweight. As a child I was so thin I looked like my parents starved us. As a teenager I ran track and was active. As a young adult, I had no car so I walked everywhere!! and I do mean everywhere, even in the snow and rain and hail, just ask me about it sometime, I'm not bitter. I never had to think about what I ate, I never had to count calories, and I certainly never had to deny myself something that I was craving. I lived off of ramen noodles and pb&j as a student. It wasn't till after I had my son (who weighed 9lbs 2oz!) that I couldn't loose all the baby weight that I put on while pregnant with him.
So here we are, starting a new lifestyle to loose some inches and pounds, so I can once again be happy about the way I look in the mirror. Since we have been doing this, I have lost 7 pounds. It doesn't seem like a lot, but it is just enough to keep me motivated to keep going. This week is proving to be a struggle. Danny's coach has us eating "magic soup" which is ok, but isn't really my cup o tea, if you catch my drift. I am dealing with it and holding strong, cuz the more of it we eat, the more weight we loose. I started doing Zumba last week, and wished that my sissy was here to do it with me. It's hard, and it certainly gives you a workout, and I will keep doing it. We have 2 halloween parties to attend this week, so pray for us to be strong. we are planning on going full so we don't eat anything that we shouldn't. Here's hoping it works!!
Anyway, I have yammered on for far too long. i could really really use all the support I can get right now. got any good recipes? got any good stories to share? wanna comment on all of my blabbering? well its late and Jackson is destroying the house, better run.

Things we did this week
On Saturday I begged Danny to take us to thanksgiving point for the cornbelly's cornmaze and pumpkin patch. Even though it was overcast, rainy and cold (only 51 degrees) we went abd had a great time. And we were lucky enough to miss all the rain while we were there!!
Here's some photos:
I love this picture of means my sweet little man. He's so silly, and we have lots of fun together. Every year they have this giant rocking chair, and every year we get a picture on it:)
Jackson had a hard time paying attention, when there were so many other things to see and do besides sit in a chair and take pictures.
He did manage to sit still long enough to get a few with his friend Sophie. She's just turned a year old.
There were a lot of pretty orange pumpkins in the pumpkin patch. They made for amazing pictures!
This next picture is my favorite! I call it "the golden stem of destiny":) lol Jackson held it up like he'd won a prize or something.
Love love love!
We took lots of photos. Here's one of Jax on the jumping pillow..
And one of usin a firetruck..
And...now we are tired of mommy taking pictures!
And last, but not least, Jackson loves to drive. He drove a jeep, and airplane, a school bus and a firetruck, oh and an 18 wheeler. This kid loves driving! We may have a problem on our hands when he turns 16! Lol
That's all for now. We had a blast.

Updates
Since my phone jumped off the deep end, I haven't been able to bring myself to blog. My pictures from our trip to SC are all on my computer, but my computer needs some work done on it cuz it freezes, overhears and generally is a giant pain in my you-know-what. I do have a few pictures I can share since we've been home and a few updates on life.
First, we finally have most of our Halloween decorations up, which is exciting. Jax loves seeing the "pumpcakes" (pumpkins), bats, ghosts and "piders" (spiders). One of these days I'll go take a picture of the front of the house so you can see:)
Secondly, we are on our way to being fully potty trained. Jax only goes to bed at night with a diaper on (and that's b/c he sleeps for 12 hours and is in his crib all night). But he stays dry during naps and usually only has 0-1 accidents a day. Today is a big exception to that rule. He's had 5 today! And every single time it's on my carpet, which now is soaked with carpet cleaner in 5 diff spots to try to get the pee smell out. Oh the joys of life. Hopefully today is a rare occasion and we can get back to going potty on the potty! I am loving not needing diapers. 21 months old and he's practically fully potty trained?! Can you believe that? Me either.
We recently discovered the dryer, and learned that we fit perfectly inside. And by "we" I mean Jackson.
It's getting colder everyday here. One particularly cold afternoon, we took the above pictures after playing outside and freezing our toes off.
Lol hard at work!
We never stop running. Ever.
So last week, Jackson asked to go to the park. I said ok, but we needed to get shoes and socks on. While we were getting socks he noticed this winter hat I had gotten out after unpacking some winter stuff. He asked to wear it. I thought he was being silly, but he wore it the whole time we were at the park. Take a look:
What a silly boy!
He makes me laugh so much!
