pictures galore and updates on us

Feb 9th was Danny and I's  anniversary. We have currently been married for 4 years (woot woot) and we wanted to celebrate by going away. We knew that we couldn't go far, because it would mean leaving Jackson, and also because we couldn't afford for Danny to take that much time off right now. We decided we would run away to Salt Lake, at the Anniversary Inn, for our vacation away from home. We left Jackson with his grandma (my mom), who was more than happy to get him all to herself. It was so wonderful to be without our crazy 2 yr old for a while, and just get to spend time together. We went to dinner that night at Red Lobster (which was amazing), especially because Danny had never been. We had shrimp, and lobster and it was amazing!!! we stayed just for one night and i got to sleep in with no interruptions!!! best day ever!
For the last week and a half, Jackson has been sick. Then, on the day after Valentines day, i got sick and was sick until a few days ago. Jackson pretty much never gets sick so this was a big deal. He had a fever for over 3 days, he had a runny nose, and a sore throat, and a horrible, horrible cough. On Saturday we took him back to the pediatrician beacuse he was complaining his ears were hurting. turns out he managed to develop and ear infection too. Needless to say we are finally over our sicknesses, and we are getting back to a normal routine.
So i don't know if any of you know, but i love crafting. Ever since my mom moved here i have been doing a lot more of it because now i have a buddy to do it with all the time. Well, since it was valentines day this past week i took photos of most of the crafts i did so i could show off.
Here it goes:
this is a love plaque i made for valentines day to tell Danny how much i love him! its a piece of wood painted with stickers from hobby lobby. cute huh? and it was easier than it looks
these are rice krispie treat pops me and my mom made for valentines day to take to our visiting teachers

next my heart LOVE letters. i think they came out really cute. wood hearts, vinyl lettering, and paint.

the next three are examples of cards i made for valentines day. the one pictured above was a scratch off card i made! it turned out super cute and pretty easy.

this one and the one below are prints i made for my mom to hang around. they came out really cute and who isn't in love with everything cupcakes. me and mom just love cupcakes!!

i taught jackson how to catch snowflakes on his tongue!!!!!!!!!!!! its the most adorable thing ever

isn't my son the most adorable child on the planet?! lol i sure think so. even though he was sick i let him go outside to play in the snowflakes for just a few min! what kind of mom would i be if it didn't?!

these are the flowers i got for Valentines day. the roses above are from my sister and below you will see some gorgeous tulips from my awesome husband. He somehow magically knew i loved tulips:)

here is a picture of me last week with my brand new glasses. i like them very much and i can see sooooo much better now!
lastly a photo of me and Jackson goofing off on my mom's bed the other day. and the last one below is Jackson with an old cell phone we found while cleaning the closet and it had enough battery power somehow to come on. Jackson was so excited he got the phone to come on all by himself!!! yay for things lighting up and making noises!

  1. Your little guy is so cute! Be careful with the old cell phone...if they can turn on, they still make emergency calls even without service. Always fun to have the cops show up!

  2. Thanks for the advice lauren. Ironically the battery only had like 30 seconds of life left in it, so it was short lived, but
